Patents on cancer-free stem cell technology OK'd

KYOTO, Japan - Kyoto University professor Shinya Yamanaka speaks at a press conference in Kyoto on Sept. 18, 2012, after a total of four patents were registered in Japan and the United States on a technology to create stem cells without the use of a gene that may cause cancer.
