Kochi Gov. Hashimoto not to seek another term
KOCHI, Japan - Kochi Gov. Daijiro Hashimoto tells a press conference on Aug. 1 that he will not run in the gubernatorial election widely expected to take place later in 2007. Asked why, Hashimoto said, ''When I considered the relationship between the state and local government, I felt there is a limit to what a governor can do.''
