STORYLINE:
The catastrophic toxic train derailment in Ohio has alerted Americans to the safety of their transport infrastructure, with many asking why the government has money for wars around the world but not for railways at home.
On Feb. 19, hundreds of protesters slammed America's role of "war machine" in overseas wars at a rally before the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Organizers said the anti-war rally was planned to protest against massive money funneling into Ukraine, as well as America's role in the Russia-Ukraine conflicts.
The United States announced on Feb. 20 an additional 500 million U.S. dollars
