Tribute To Manouchian Before His Last Home - Paris

Communist (PCF) party's National Secretary Fabien Roussel, general secretary of the French CGT (Union General Confederation of Labor) Sophie Binet (C) and members of the the French Communist Party (PCF) and French CGT (Union General Confederation of Labor) pay tribute to member of the French Resistance Missak Manouchian at a ceremony in front of his last home before his arrest, in the 14th arrondissement, Paris, on February 21, 2024. The remains of stateless Armenian poet and fighter Missak Manouchian and his wife Melinee are being moved to the country's Pantheon mausoleum of national heroes during a state ceremony. It is the first time that any foreign communist member of the French Resistance is being honoured in such a way despite many of them taking part in the underground battle against the Germans.
