                  KOBE, Japan - Renowned Japanese yachtsman Kenichi Horie, 63, waves as he leaves Shin-Nishinomiya harbor in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, on May 12 for a 10,000-kilometer voyage to San Francisco on board MALT'S Mermaid 3, which is made of recycled material. Horie's date of departure and route are the same as in 1962 when he first successfully sailed across the Pacific Ocean.
